A brood of cicadas begins to emerge from the earth after a seventeen-year absence. This cicadas’ incessant droning seems to seep into the very fabric of reality, subtly distorting the thoughts and actions of those who hear it. At first, the cicadas' song is merely an irritating backdrop to everyday life, but as their numbers increase, the sound evolves into a hypnotic, malicious chant that alters our behavior and drives people to insanity. As the cicadas' song grows more pervasive,  a sinister influence manipulates thoughts and emotions. People experience increasingly unsettling phenomena—paranoia, unexplainable accidents, and disturbing dreams. Cursed to suffer this ancient, long-buried, influence of the Insidious Cicada.
